HB Reavis’ “Metronom” and “Aupark” winners of CIJ Awards in the Czech Republic
International real estate developer HB Reavis scooped two awards at the 16th edition of the prestigious annual CIJ Awards in Prague, Czech Republic. HB Reavis took home the “Best Office Lease of the Year” award for its leasing deal with SAP at the developer’s Metronom office building. In addition, HB Reavis also won “Best Retail Development & Developer of the Year” for its Aupark shopping center, which was opened in Hradec Kralove earlier in November. The CIJ Awards are the longest-running commercial property awards event in the Czech Republic.
The leasing agreement with SAP earlier this year marked one of the biggest deals in Prague´s real estate market. SAP´s three subsidiary companies (SAP BSCE, CONCUR and ARIBA) took over 25,000 sq m at the now fully leased Metronom building. HB Reavis made a number of adaptations to the building to tailor it for the client’s requirements. For instance, the building features traditional hand-painted Portuguese tiles known as “azulejo” as well as a number of security measures.
“We are incredibly pleased to win these two prestigious awards. I particularly want to say thank you to our employees who dedicated a lot of effort to making sure we meet and even exceed our client’s requirements and needs“, says Petr Herman, Managing Director of HB Reavis Czech Republic.
With “Aupark” in Hradec Kralove, HB Reavis has delivered a downtown shopping center capitalizing on the proximity of a major transport hub. The new 22,000 sq m development is characterised by its modern design, clear layout and excellent visibility of all retail outlets. The scheme also features high-quality materials including wood, glass, and stone. The jury also appreciated the brightness prevailing on the premises of the “Aupark” project. The shopping center’s top location along with the high quality retail space on offer has attracted new brands such as H&M, Tommy Hilfiger, GUESS, Marc O’Polo, Levi’s, Pandora, SuperDry and Yves Rocher. “Aupark” has also helped to bring 1,100 new public parking places to Hradec Kralove benefitting the wider neighbourhood.
