Top tenants to move into HB Reavis’ West Station
HB Reavis has leased over 3,320 sq m of office space at West Station to LafargeHolcim an international leader in the building materials industry and to Marquard Media one of the largest publishing companies in Poland. The two Polish divisions are the latest companies to move into the buildings developed by HB Reavis next to the Warszawa Zachodnia station in Warsaw.
“Our new office is a great step towards a culture of collaboration, openness and innovation. Move to West Station II is a next level of implementing our strategy that puts people in the heart of organization and assumes simplification and acceleration of everyday work. It is obvious to me that our new office had to be consistent with the idea of sustainable development as well as with the concept of green buildings, as these two areas are critical for our company,” said Federico Tonetti, Country CEO Poland at LafargeHolcim.
LafargeHolcim operates more than 60 manufacturing plants in Poland, including cement works, mines and aggregate transfer stations as well as concrete plants. The corporate headquarters of the Group’s Polish branch will be relocated to West Station II in September 2017. The client was advised by Colliers International.
Construction of West Station II is well on track with the completion date set for September 2017. By that time, the first building of the office complex will welcome its new tenant as well, with Marquard Media Poland moving into an office totalling 1,830 sq m. The company is the publisher of market leading premium lifestyle magazines, including Harper’s Bazaar, Esquire, Playboy, Hot Moda, Cosmopolitan, CKM, Joy, Shape and Jamie, as well as fifteen lifestyle websites. Knight Frank advised on the deal.
“Every month, we see West Station increasing its significance as a new business hotspot in Warsaw. Our portfolio of clients has just expanded with the addition of two international firms. The companies’ employees will benefit not only from well-designed offices tailored to suit their specific needs, but also from shorter commuting times due to the excellent access to transport,” said Grzegorz Strutynski, Commercial Director and Board Member, HB Reavis Poland.
West Station is a joint project of HB Reavis, PKP S.A. and Xcity Investment situated at Aleje Jerozolimskie, Warsaw. West Station tenants also include PKP Group companies, ATAL, Coface, Panalpina as well as the serviced office network Office Hub. Their employees can enjoy a WARS restaurant, Costa Coffee and Gorąco Polecam Nowakowski bakery located on the ground floor. The buildings provide a total of 68,000 sq m of leasable space. The project has a “Excellent” BREEAM certification.
