We welcomed big names in 2022 and reported another successful leasing year
Realising the continuous ambition of delivering remarkable products, last year we again achieved impressive results, leasing over 900,000 sq ft of GLA in total across Europe.
The majority of space was taken at Forest in Poland, where we successfully leased over 370,000 sq ft, contributing to more than 570,000 sq ft in Poland overall. Slovakia signed over 260,000 sq ft of space, while in Germany, 46,000 sq ft and in the UK, 25,000 sq ft was leased.
The total projected rental income from all the deals closed in 2022 is £135m, representing a gross development value of £350m.
Across Europe our wellbeing-focused offices attracted some well-established brands such as SAP, pharma giant Servier, Cleverlance, Salt Pay, Legrand, RSG Group, GoHealth and the second largest Polish bank, Bank Pekao.
As well as attracting major international brands to our current projects, we made several new significant land acquisitions in 2022. In addition to London, we also strengthened our position in the Berlin and Warsaw markets by securing more than 430,000 sq ft of new development land for two projects in Berlin and one project in Warsaw.
