Listed global company puts employee wellbeing first choosing HB Reavis’ Bloom Clerkenwell
International workspace provider HB Reavis has announced a new partnership with a major listed global company who will take over 115,000 sq ft of office space at HB Reavis’ landmark London development, Bloom Clerkenwell, EC1. The occupier is expecting to make Bloom its new home in 2022, strengthening the presence of creative and tech occupiers in the district.
Bloom Clerkenwell is on track to be the first office building in Europe to achieve the highest accreditations for wellbeing, sustainability and digital connectivity. The building is targeting WELL Platinum, BREEAM Outstanding and has already achieved WiredScore Platinum and base build EPC A rating. It is also targeting Net Zero Carbon in operation, making it one of Europe’s most sustainable office developments.
Bloom has an 11% terrace-to-office ratio, one of the highest in London – giving the new occupier access to over 8,500 sq ft of private terrace space across two floors, including a Garden Room for use throughout the year, as well as an expansive communal terrace hosting a programme of events and an edible garden.
The dynamic space created by HB Reavis fosters a people-focussed culture including a multi-function fitness studio that will host regular classes, health club inspired changing and shower facilities, over 240 street-level cycle spaces and free bookable Brompton bikes accessed through the Bloom concierge app.
The building has only two floors of workspace remaining: the Penthouse seventh floor providing over 12,000 sq ft of premium workspace and 4,600 sq ft of private terrace, with city views from every elevation, along with HB Reavis’ fully fitted and managed offer, Ready to Work, which spans 3,241 sq ft on the first floor. This tech enhanced smart workspace provides convenient and flexible space for occupiers. Integrating HB Reavis’ proprietary technology empowers occupiers to manage their indoor environment in real-time, offers demand management and provides energy insights to support sustainability goals.
Bloom is conveniently located directly next to Farringdon Station, with access to three London Underground lines, Thameslink and the Elizabeth Line, which is set to open in 2022.
Charlie Russell-Jones, Leasing Manager, HB Reavis said:
“We are looking forward to beginning our partnership with such an exciting business and can’t wait to welcome them to Bloom. We carefully listened to what was important for their business needs and for their people, from offering bespoke classes in the fitness studio to enabling the business organic growth within the building over time through our Ready to Work concept. It is great to see businesses endorse our tailored, sustainable and wellbeing-focused approach to workspace, and we are excited to see our new partner and their employees thrive at Bloom”.
HB Reavis’ upcoming projects include One Waterloo: the 1.3m sq ft redevelopment of Elizabeth House next to Waterloo Station and Worship Square, the 140,000 sq ft recently launched and sustainability-focused project in Shoreditch.
