Agora Budapest welcomes the new Hungarian headquarters of Raiffeisen Bank
International workspace provider HB Reavis has announced that Raiffeisen Bank will move to Agora Budapest. The deal is expected to be one of the largest new leasing transactions both in HB Reavis’ history and in the Hungarian office market in 2018: the bank will occupy nearly 20 000 sq m of office space for the long-term and move to Agora Tower, the first building of the urban scale development.
Over 1,300 Raiffeisen Bank employees will move from two different sites to their new headquarters at the beginning of 2020. Their new home, Agora Budapest, will feature a wide range of services, including smart building solutions, co-working and large community spaces, integrated public transportation and flexible and modern office space specially tailored to the bank’s needs.
HB Reavis’ workspace solution service, Origameo, has actively supported Raiffeisen Bank in evaluating their ideal working environment. Their experts have organised management workshops, interviews and questionnaires about the desired workspace, and additionally have implemented special, modern sensors measuring the utilisation of their space. The collected data was analysed by Origameo’s international team, including sociologists, occupational psychologists and data analysts to find the best employee-focused future workplace experience for the entire organisation.

Understanding and supporting the needs of the client was the most crucial thing for HB Reavis during the negotiation process. The “workplace as a service” umbrella concept including the Origameo service, a HubHub co-working office, smart building solutions (personalised building comfort and smart parking and access) and active asset management (events and services for the community such as educational programs or car and bike sharing) drives the design of today’s HB Reavis buildings. These services put the focus on the users and strive to enhance their working experience while parallelly responding to client needs and differentiating the developer from the evolving competition.
The transaction is an important milestone for HB Reavis, both on the international and local levels. The bank will occupy nearly 60% of Agora Budapest’s first building by the beginning of 2020.
