HB Reavis to showcase Poland’s tallest tower at MIPIM 2017
After a successful start to 2017, international real estate developer HB Reavis returns to Europe’s leading real estate event MIPIM on 14 – 17 March in Cannes, to present its flagship developments: Varso Place (Warsaw), Twin City (Bratislava) and Agora (Budapest).
HB Reavis will be attending MIPIM for the 12th year to meet the industry and showcase its latest exciting projects. These include Varso Place, a 140,000 sqm mixed-use scheme in Warsaw featuring what will be one of Europe’s tallest towers once completed in 2020. The HB Reavis stand will be P-1.E50 in the Palais des Festivals.
Varso Place (Warsaw, Poland)
The showpiece Varso Place scheme comprises a 53-storey office tower designed by world-renowned architectural practice Foster & Partners and two mid-rise buildings designed by Warsaw architects Hermanowicz Rewski. The tower will be Central Europe’s tallest, surpassing even London’s Shard by one metre. Varso Place will position itself as the leading destination for business from all over Europe, and will house international companies and start-up businesses looking to deal and trade with other EU countries.
Varso Place will be home to one of the largest co-working centers in Warsaw and benefit from state-of-the-art technologies to reduce electricity and water consumption as well as air pollution, making it the first project of this scale in Poland to be rated “Outstanding” against the BREEAM certification scheme. The development will also host a number of impressive viewing decks – including Poland’s tallest public viewpoint at 230m – that will allow locals and visitors alike to enjoy unique views of Warsaw’s skyline.
Twin City (Bratislava, Slovakia)
In addition to Varso Place, HB Reavis will also be presenting Twin City and Twin City Tower at MIPIM. Twin City is part of the currently biggest regeneration project in Central Europe. The project is developed in multiple phases, creating a modern business district that gradually will integrate with Bratislava’s city centre. The initial stage of the project will consist of three buildings offering ca. 65,000 sqm of modern office space, along with retail stores and services.
Twin City comprises of three seven-storey buildings and provides office-led mixed-use development with new class A1, design-led, sustainable office space. It’s one of HB Reavis’ most innovative projects, which will completely transform how we think of workspaces.
Twin City Tower, the centrepiece in the development, will be a modern tower with copper cladding that reflects the heritage of the past industrial zone. The Tower will consist of 24 floors, reaching 89 meter high, and boast the latest technology for the ideal working environment. The project designed by architects Sibert+Talas, CEPM and John Robertson Architects will allow for excellent connectivity to the city. There will be 80 restaurants within an 8 minute walk from Twin City Tower, 32 of which are within a 3 minute walk. Trenka describes the project as “the best office space in town with incredible views and top notch technologies”. The Tower is due for completion in 2018.
Agora (Budapest, Hungary)
HB Reavis is also excited to announce that construction works have begun on its next new major development Agora Budapest, situated in the heart of the Hungarian capital. The mixed-use city centre complex will comprise 136,000 sqm of high quality, modern office and retail spaces.
The development will bring significant improvement to this part of the city delivering modern and sustainable architecture including green areas and public spaces.
HB Reavis is working together with the renowned London-based MAKE Architects, the winner
of several international architectural prizes, and Hungarian architects FINTA Studio, designer of several iconic buildings, to deliver the project. Agora Budapest will be built in several phases and the first two buildings are expected to be completed by the end of 2018.
The scheme will offer well designed, modern office space suitable for coworkers, startups and large domestic or international companies. HB Reavis intends to obtain BREEAM Excellent and WELL certification for the development. WELL, measure, certify and monitor the features of the built environment that affect human health and well-being.
