London’s MAKE architects come to see how their ideas translate in Bratislava
One a sunny summer’s day, some curious journalists and two architects from the London branch of MAKE architects took a very scenic tour of our New Apollo construction site.
For the unknowing journalists, one of the most eye-catching features was the pleasant green atrium, which will eventually have a water feature and scenic colonnade – a tranquil retreat whatever the weather. The ground-level bicycle hub is also unconventional.
As well as racks for over 200 bikes, there’s a bicycle wash, a small bike service station and a bicycle café – all connected to the rest of the world by a new dedicated bicycle track to the main road.
The architects, Stuart Blower and James Freeman, were very relaxed as they explored the growing structure. In fact, you would hardly think they were behind the designs for our new Bratislava address.
It’s one of the most exciting projects in CEE. Some of its floors stretch to over 8,000 sq m, which makes it a hugely attractive (and astonishingly huge) option for large corporations and SSC.
Also, thanks to its five cores, there are great lease options for smaller companies – which means the final building should evolve to house a diverse community of businesses.
