We’ve completed campus-style building and topped out the tower of Forest, our green project
We´ve delivered the campus-style buildings of Forest, a project focused on incorporating natural elements and greenery into the urban jungle of Poland’s capital. Along with it, we topped out the 120-metre-tall Forest tower.
The completed buildings offer over 20,000 sq m of office space (which equals about one-third of the Louvre Museum in Paris), ground floor retail and restaurant opportunities. While still under construction, the adjacent tower has now reached its full height.
When the entire project is complete in Q1 2022, its gross leasable area will be almost three times as much as it is now. One thing’s for sure, Forest’s design by HRA Architekci‘s will put an emphasis on biophilia and active design in every square meter so everyone working there in the future can feel well and productive every single working day.
Reducing Forest’s footprint
A public courtyard filled with around 200 trees will be complemented by an energy-efficient facade with bronze-coloured panels inspired by tree bark. The rooftop entrances and plant pots will also be covered in a rust-like weathering steel that naturally changes shades over time.
The roof features a community farm for urban gardening with the possibility to plant herbs and vegetables, relaxation zones and views of the landscaped surroundings. But more broadly, the design maximises resources to reduce Forest‘s carbon footprint, for example, by reusing rainwater to irrigate the plants. This approach has helped it become one of Poland‘s greenest offices, with BREEAM and BREEAM Communities certifications and WELL Precertification.
Two brands have already found themselves at home
Perfect for corporate, creative and entrepreneurial organisations, Forest offers Warsaw city’s largest floor plate together with flexible office layouts and coworking spaces.
DIY retailer Leroy Merlin has already taken 12,000 sq m in one of the city’s largest transactions of 2020. Private healthcare service Enel-med also recently announced its move into the development in addition to the opening of a new on-site medical centre.
